NotchMind and Firefox.
Firefox downloads, calls in a Firefox tab and music playing in Firefox show up in the notch.
What it does with Firefox
- Download progress in the notch while Firefox saves to your Downloads folder.
- Google Meet and other web calls in Firefox, with a mute button.
- Music and video in a tab, with play and pause.
Set it up
- Downloads show on their own; keep Downloads live activity on in Settings → Downloads.
- In Firefox’s settings, make sure files are saved to your Downloads folder so the notch can follow them.
- Calls show on their own while Firefox uses the microphone.
Good to know
- Firefox writes a
.partfile while downloading; the notch follows it until the download finishes. - Some tabs don’t tell macOS what’s playing, and then the music player can’t show them.
