See download progress in the notch

Watch a download fill the MacBook notch while it runs, choose a percentage or a ring, and what NotchMind can and can't track.

Checked against the app on

When a file downloads into your Downloads folder, the notch shows its progress, so you know when it’s done without watching the browser.

Turn it on or off

Open Settings → Downloads and turn Downloads live activity on or off.

Percent or ring

Progress indicator shows the progress as a Percent label (the default) or a Circle that fills.

What it tracks

NotchMind watches your Downloads folder for files that are still being written: Safari’s .download files, Chrome’s .crdownload files, Firefox’s .part files and similar. It reads the progress the browser reports where it can, and otherwise shows that the file is still growing.

It doesn’t track downloads saved to other folders, or apps that download somewhere else first and move the file at the end.

While other things happen

Downloads have a low priority, so music, a timer or a call shows above them. Change that in activity priorities.
