NotchMind and Spotify.
See what Spotify is playing in the notch and control it without switching to the Spotify window.
What it does with Spotify
- Artwork, song and artist in the collapsed notch while Spotify plays.
- Play, pause, skip and scrub from the open notch.
- A floating player with synced lyrics, and music on your lock screen.
- Send the sound to AirPods or another speaker with the output button.
Set it up
- Open Spotify and play something. The notch shows it straight away.
- Grant Media Controls in Settings → General → Permissions so the buttons work.
- If macOS asks whether NotchMind may control Spotify, choose Allow; NotchMind uses it to read whether Spotify is playing.
- To show only Spotify, set Playback source to Spotify in Settings → Now Playing.
Good to know
- The favorite button works with Apple Music and the YouTube Music app, not with Spotify.
- Lyrics come from public lyrics databases, so some songs have none.
