NotchMindNotchMind finds lyrics for the song that’s playing and highlights each line as it’s sung, when synced lyrics are available.
Where lyrics appear
- The floating player, at its largest size (Stage). See pop the music player out of the notch.
- The lock screen, under the music panel, when Show lyrics is on in Settings → Lock Screen. See music on the lock screen.
Where they come from
Lyrics are looked up online from public lyrics databases such as LRCLIB, using the song’s title, artist, album and length. Only those song details are sent; nothing about you or your library is.
A song has no lyrics
Not every song is in the databases, and instrumentals, live versions and very new releases are often missing. Some songs only have plain lyrics, without timing. The lock screen shows those as a block of text; the floating player only shows synced lyrics. Lyrics need an internet connection.
