Show music and lyrics on your Mac's lock screen

Put a now playing panel with lyrics on the macOS lock screen, choose its background and position, and set lock and unlock sounds.

Checked against the app on

When your Mac locks while music plays, NotchMind can show what’s playing on the lock screen, with controls and lyrics.

Turn it on

  1. Open Settings → Lock Screen.
  2. Turn on Media panel. Turn on Show lyrics to see synced lyrics under it.

Make it look right

  • Media panel background: Animated background moves the album art’s colors, Static background uses them without movement, and Black background keeps it plain.
  • Media panel position: moves the panel up or down on the lock screen.
  • Widget appearance: Soft, Solid or Liquid Glass, with a Default or Accent tint.
  • Widget brightness: makes the panel brighter or dimmer.

Lock and unlock

Lock screen live activity shows a short animation in the notch as your Mac locks and unlocks. Lock / unlock sound plays a sound at the same moment. You can keep the built-in sounds or choose your own Lock sound and Unlock sound: an MP3, WAV, AIFF or M4A file. If a file you chose goes missing, NotchMind falls back to the built-in sound.
