“Could not check for updates”
- Check your internet connection, then try again: right-click the notch and choose Check for Updates.
- A VPN, firewall or content blocker can block the update feed at dl.notchmind.com. Turn it off briefly and try again.
The update won’t install
- Run NotchMind from Applications. An app opened from the disk image or the Downloads folder can’t update itself. Drag NotchMind into Applications, open that copy and try again.
- Make sure you can write to Applications. On a work Mac with restrictions, ask your IT team.
- Quit and reopen NotchMind, then check again.
Install the latest version by hand
- Download the latest disk image from the download page.
- Quit NotchMind.
- Drag the new NotchMind into Applications and choose Replace.
- Open it.
Your settings, clipboard history, Tray and license are kept, because they’re stored outside the app. You may have to approve the first launch again; see macOS says NotchMind can’t be opened.
