Other apps’ notifications
- Check Universal Notification Interception is on in Settings → Notifications → System Notifications.
- It needs Accessibility. If the setting says Waiting for Accessibility access, grant it and it turns on by itself.
- The app must be allowed to send banners in System Settings → Notifications. NotchMind reads banners as macOS shows them, so if an app’s notifications are off, or set to None, there’s nothing to show.
- With a Focus such as Do Not Disturb on, macOS holds banners back, so they don’t reach the notch either.
Messages
Needs Full Disk Access, and Messages notifications must be on in System Settings → Notifications → Messages. Allow Contacts to see names instead of numbers. See Messages in the notch.
Apple Mail
Needs Full Disk Access, and works with Apple Mail only. New mail shows once Mail has downloaded it. See Mail in the notch.
Seeing every notification twice
Turn on Hide Native macOS Banners in Settings → Notifications → System Notifications. For Mail, turn off Mail’s banners in System Settings → Notifications → Mail.
