Add an outline around the notch

Turn on the notch stroke, set its width and opacity, and choose whether activities tint it with their own colors or keep it white.

Checked against the app on

The outline is a thin line around the open notch. It’s off by default, because on most wallpapers it reads as a grey halo, but it can help the notch stand out on dark backgrounds.

Turn on the outline

  1. Open Settings → General → Notch.
  2. Turn on Show stroke.
  3. Set Stroke width (1 to 3 points) and Stroke opacity.

Activity colors

By default the outline takes the accent color of what’s showing, such as pink for music or red while recording. To keep it white for every activity, turn on Use default activity stroke color.

Some features have their own outline options too, such as Level-based stroke color in HUD settings and Battery-colored stroke for Bluetooth accessories.
