Work through these in order. Most problems are fixed by the first three.
1. Is NotchMind running?
Look for its icon in the menu bar. If it’s not there, open NotchMind from Applications. If you hid the menu bar icon, right-clicking the notch shows NotchMind’s menu when it’s running.
2. Is it licensed?
Without an active license the notch doesn’t open its features. Open Settings → License. If it says License required or Reconnect to validate, see license messages.
3. Hover longer, or click
By default the notch opens when you rest the pointer on it. If you changed Expand gesture to Click or Press and hold, do that instead. Check in Settings → General → Notch → Gestures.
4. Is it on another display?
With an external monitor, NotchMind may be on the main display rather than your MacBook’s screen. In Settings → General → Notch → Display, choose Show on built-in display. See external displays.
5. Is something hidden?
- You may have swiped an activity away. Swipe down over the notch to bring it back.
- In a full-screen app, Hide live activity in full-screen mode hides activities.
- A feature’s own switch may be off, for example Now Playing live activity.
6. Restart NotchMind
Right-click the notch and choose Restart, or quit it and open it again from Applications.
7. It closes by itself
If NotchMind opens and then quits a minute later, see NotchMind quits by itself.
