NotchMind and Discord.
Join a Discord voice channel or call and the notch shows it with a mute button. Discord messages can appear there too.
What it does with Discord
- Voice channels and calls in the notch while Discord uses your microphone.
- Mute and unmute from the notch, without finding the Discord window.
- Discord notifications in the notch.
Set it up
- Open Settings → Meetings and make sure Calls in the notch is on. It is on by default.
- Start or join a call in Discord. When it starts using your microphone, the call appears in the notch.
- Open the notch and choose Mute or Unmute, or Show call to bring the call back to the front.
- For messages, turn on Universal Notification Interception in Settings → Notifications → System Notifications.
Good to know
- NotchMind never opens your microphone or camera. It asks macOS which app is using them.
- Mute works at the microphone itself, for every app at once. If you hang up muted, the microphone comes back on afterwards.
- NotchMind mutes your Mac’s microphone. Discord’s own mute button shows separately in Discord and may not change with it.
