Calendar events don't show in the notch

Fixes for when your next meeting doesn't appear in the NotchMind notch: calendar access, which calendars are on, accounts in macOS, and notice time.

Checked against the app on

Work through these in order.

  1. Is it on? Check Calendar live activity in Settings → Calendar.
  2. Does NotchMind have access? Look in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Calendars and turn NotchMind on.
  3. Is the calendar in macOS? NotchMind reads the calendars in Apple’s Calendar app. Google, Microsoft 365 and other accounts need to be added in System Settings → Internet Accounts with Calendars turned on.
  4. Is that calendar shown? In the Calendar app, the calendar must be ticked in the sidebar. Events from unticked calendars don’t appear.
  5. Is it time yet? The notice appears at the Notice time you chose, for example 5 minutes before. Check it in Settings → Calendar.
  6. Is something else in front? A call, a timer or screen recording can show above it. See activity priorities.

If an event shows in the Calendar app but still not in the notch after all this, right-click the notch and choose Restart.
