Show or hide the menu bar and Dock icons

NotchMind shows a menu bar icon and stays out of the Dock by default. Here is how to change both, and how to reach the menu without them.

Checked against the app on

NotchMind runs from the notch, so it doesn’t need a Dock icon. By default it shows a small icon in the menu bar and none in the Dock.

Change the icons

  1. Open Settings → General → System.
  2. Turn Show menu bar icon on or off.
  3. Turn Show Dock icon on if you want NotchMind in the Dock and in the app switcher (⌘-Tab).

Without the menu bar icon

Right-click the notch. You get Customize Home…, Clipboard History, Check for Updates, Settings, Restart and Quit, plus Show Menu Bar Icon to bring the icon back. Settings reminds you of this when you hide the icon.

Quit NotchMind

Right-click the notch and choose Quit, or use Quit in the menu bar icon’s menu. Quitting this way also restores any macOS settings NotchMind changed while it ran, such as the screenshot thumbnail.
