Move or minimize the Basket, and use Home while your files stay on the Shelf.

Added

Drag the Basket header to move it. Its minus button minimizes it to the Dock; your files stay, and another shake brings it back in the same position.
File Shelf is available from the notch’s right-click menu and the menu bar. The open Shelf has a Home button so you can switch back without emptying it.

Fixed

Saved files no longer keep you out of Home. Hover the closed Shelf indicator or choose Open NotchMind to reach Home while the files wait on the Shelf.
The closed Shelf uses a small white icon and file count. The duplicate long “files in Shelf” message is gone.
