NotchMindHow long it works offline
Once activated, NotchMind checks your license now and then. If it can’t reach the license server, it keeps working for 14 days. The License page says Validation unavailable and shows the date your license remains available until.
Connect to the internet any time before then and it checks again by itself.
After 14 days offline
The License page says Reconnect to validate. Connect to the internet and NotchMind checks again. Nothing is deleted meanwhile: your clipboard history, Tray and settings stay as they are.
What works offline
Almost everything: the notch, music controls, clipboard history and actions, Secret Guard, the Tray and Basket, the converter, developer tools, timers, reminders, calendar, battery, Bluetooth, the HUD and the stats.
What needs a connection
- Activating a license, and the periodic license check.
- Checking for updates.
- Lyrics, weather, Revenue and Traffic.
- Smart Mode, if you turned it on.
The clock matters
The license check needs your Mac’s clock to be right. If you see This Mac’s clock doesn’t match the current time, turn on Set time and date automatically in System Settings → General → Date & Time.
