The first-launch tour and setup

What the NotchMind welcome tour shows, which permissions it asks for, and how to come back to any step later from Settings.

Checked against the app on

The first time NotchMind opens, the notch expands into a short tour. Use Next and Back to move through it, or Skip to close it. The counter (for example 2 / 4) shows where you are.

What each step does

  1. Welcome. A short animation in the notch.
  2. Confirm all permissions. Choose Open Permissions to see each permission NotchMind can use and why. You don’t have to grant them all; each one only unlocks the features that need it.
  3. Make it yours. Choose Open Settings to explore modules and turn off the ones you don’t want.
  4. You’re all set. NotchMind is ready in your notch. Choose Get Started to close the tour.

Which permissions to grant first

Most people grant Accessibility first: gestures, notifications in the notch and pasting from clipboard history need it. Everything else can wait until you use the feature that needs it. Every permission explained lists what each one is for.

Coming back later

You can’t replay the tour, but everything in it lives in Settings:

  • Permissions: Settings → General → Permissions
  • Modules: each section in the Settings sidebar has its own on/off switch, such as Now Playing live activity or Calendar live activity.

If a call or a coding agent started while the tour was open, it appears in the notch as soon as the tour closes.
