Choose where converted files go and their quality

Set the converter's output folder, what happens when a file already exists, the filename suffix, and the image, video and audio quality.

Checked against the app on

Open Settings → Home Page → File Converter.

Files

  • Output location: Same folder as the original (the default), Downloads, or Ask every time.
  • Existing files: when a file with the new name already exists, Create unique name (adds a number, the default), Replace it, or Ask.
  • Filename suffix: added before the new extension. It starts as -converted. Leave it empty to keep the original name.

Quality

  • Image quality: for lossy formats like JPEG, HEIC, WEBP and AVIF. Higher keeps more detail and makes a bigger file. The default is 92%.
  • Video quality: Passthrough copies the video without re-encoding where the format allows it (fastest, no quality loss), or High, Medium or Small.
  • Audio quality: the bitrate for compressed audio formats: Source (match the original), High (the default), Medium or Small.

Activity
