Format JSON, Base64, URLs and UUIDs in the notch

NotchMind's Developer Tools page formats and validates JSON, encodes Base64 and URLs, makes UUIDs and converts colors and Unix timestamps, offline.

Checked against the app on

The Developer Tools page on Home does the small conversions you’d otherwise open a website for. It runs on your Mac; nothing is sent anywhere.

The tools

Tool What it does
Format JSON Pretty-prints JSON with indentation.
Validate JSON Tells you whether it’s valid JSON.
Minify JSON Removes the whitespace.
Base64 encode / Base64 decode Converts text to and from Base64 (UTF-8).
URL encode / URL decode Percent-encodes text for URLs, and back.
UUID v4 Makes a new random UUID.
Convert color Converts a hex color or rgb() / rgba() value to other notations.
Unix seconds → UTC Turns a Unix timestamp into a readable UTC date.

Use it

  1. Open the notch and swipe to Developer Tools.
  2. Pick a tool from the menu at the top.
  3. Paste your input where it says Paste here.
  4. Press the arrow button. For UUID v4, just press the button.
  5. Choose Copy result to copy the output.

Clear empties both boxes. Input can be up to 1 MB.

Errors

The page says what’s wrong instead of guessing, for example Enter valid Base64 containing UTF-8 text or Enter Unix seconds between years 0001 and 9999.

Faster for JSON and colors

Copy JSON or a color anywhere and NotchMind offers Format JSON or Convert Color straight away. See actions for what you copy.
