When you copy something NotchMind recognizes, the notch shows a short card with what you’d probably do next. Recognition happens on your Mac.
What it recognizes
| You copy | Actions |
|---|---|
| A link | Open Link |
| An email address | Compose Email |
| JSON | Format JSON (copies it pretty-printed) |
A color, like #0A84FF or rgb(10, 132, 255) |
Preview Color, Convert Color |
| A file path | Reveal in Finder |
| A terminal command | Open in Terminal, Copy Command |
| A street address | Open in Maps, Search Address |
| Other text | Copy Clean (copies it again as plain text, without formatting) |
Open in Terminal only opens Terminal, after asking you first. It never runs the command for you.
Ignore it
The card closes by itself. You don’t need to do anything with it; the clipboard is unchanged until you choose an action.

The developer tools page on Home does more with JSON, Base64, URLs, UUIDs, colors and timestamps. Smart Mode, which is off by default, can classify text NotchMind can’t recognize on its own; see Smart Mode.
