Open clipboard history with your Clipboard History shortcut, then use these keys. The bottom of the panel shows them too.
| Key | What it does |
|---|---|
| Type | Search everything you copied. |
| ↑ ↓ | Move between items. |
| ↩ | Paste the item into the app you were using. |
| ⌘ ↩ | Copy the item without pasting. |
| ⌘ P | Pin or unpin the item. |
| ⌘ ⌫ | Delete the item. |
| ⇥ | Switch filter: All, Pinned, Text, Links, Images, Files. |
| esc | Close the panel. |
Pins
Pin what you paste often, such as an address or a reply you send every day. Pinned items stay until you unpin them; they don’t count toward the number of recent items kept, and they’re kept when you turn history off. Press ⇥ until Pinned is selected to see only them.
When ↩ copies instead of pasting
Pasting into another app needs the Accessibility permission. Without it, ↩ copies the item and you paste it yourself with ⌘ V. Grant it in Settings → General → Permissions.
Nothing matches
The panel says No matches. Try another word, or press ⇥ to look in another filter.
