Stop NotchMind reading the clipboard from certain apps

Exclude apps from clipboard history and clipboard actions by bundle identifier. Password managers are excluded out of the box.

Checked against the app on

What you copy in an excluded app is never kept in history and never gets a clipboard card.

Already excluded

Password managers and NotchMind itself are excluded by default: 1Password, Bitwarden, LastPass, Keychain Access, and also KeePassXC, Dashlane and Apple’s Passwords app.

Exclude another app

  1. Find the app’s bundle identifier. In Terminal, run osascript -e 'id of app "App Name"', replacing App Name with the app’s name. It prints something like com.example.app.
  2. Open Settings → Smart Mode.
  3. Under Excluded apps, type the identifier and choose Add.

To include the app again, remove it from the list.

Things to know

  • Exclusion works on the app that’s in front when you copy.
  • Items copied before you excluded an app stay in history until you delete them. See clear your clipboard history.
